WEEK 17: BAGUA GRANDE

January 28, 2019
Today was a way nice p-day. We got up early and washed clothes and garments and stuff, and then we played Monopoly with Hermana Herlindas granddaughters who are getting baptized this Sunday. They are literally so funny. We were playing and Elder Moran and I were trying to trade properties with the girls, who are named Narumi and Dora, because they literally had all the properties, and it was so funny.

Later we played soccer with the other Elders from Bagua Chica, but Elder Merritt got transferred for some reason. They called it an emergency transfer, so he's in Chiclayo now. We went to an American restaurant type thing today, and they sold hot dogs that were so good. I got this teriyaki hotdog, and I forgot how good hotdogs were. Then we played Uno for the rest of our p-day, and that's pretty much how everything goes.

Hey mama, are you getting all of my videos and stuff? Is everything good with the emails and how is life? It's hard not chatting, but it's been real good. Also, thank you so much for sending so much stuff. And did you get my flowers? did they survive the trip? Love you mama, and thanks for everything.

Today was a really good day. I forgot to tell you that our Zone made soccer jerseys and they look alright, but ahahahhahh the store that was making our jerseys messed up so many things. We told them to put 'Mision Chiclayo' on them, and they put 'Misoin Chiclayo.' And for my name, the store put 'Muff' on the back of my shirt. Literally Huff with an 'M', so  'MUFF' is on the back of my jersey. Elder Moran's been telling everyone about it and now the granddaughters of Hermana Herlinda call me Elder Muff. But they say it like 'Elder Moof', so I don't know what my real name is anymore for real ahahahahah.

Also, the last few days were super wack. I gave this reaaaalllly sick lady a blessing of comfort and health, because the other Elders gave her an anointing, and it was a good blessing and my Spanish was good and all of that. And literally the next day we were walking by their house, and we saw this big canopy that said 'Funeral Service Bagua Grande', and we thought she died. And we were like noooooooo way she didn't die? So we went to their door, and nobody answered. So we went back later and still nobody was there. Then we went back again later today, and they were there, and she was still pretty sick, but she was still alive. The funeral thing was for her neighbor, so that was so crazy for real.

Life is good, and I love everything. I saw the first horse that I've seen in Peru today. Love you all gn.
