WEEK 57: Demetrio Acosta
November 10, 2019
This week went by really fast, like so fast. I can't really remember a lot. I just remember Elder Costa saying on Monday how fast the week would go, and now we are here.
On Tuesday we had the consejo de líderes (council of leaders), and that was something really awesome. We felt the Spirit guiding us to set new goals and make some changes in our zone. I actually love solving problems and making plans to change things up a bit.
On Wednesday we went to Morrope to put in a water heater in the hermana's shower, and that took up most of the day. But we had a sick time, because the Hermanas Tuchan y Cárdenas are way cool.
On Thursday we had an Intercambio with Motupe, on Friday an Intercambio with Mochumí. On Saturday Jose and Gladys Cubas were baptized. I've only taught them a few times, but it was awesome to see them be baptized. It was amazing to see the short and simple, but strong testimony of Jose Cubas.
We barely had any time to work on our own area this week because we were also doing a lot of interviews, but today we went on splits. It was the first time I have gone on splits in my mission, and it was a miracle how many chosen people we found just today. We were suffering for new people to teach, but when I was in sacrament meeting I was thinking about when Jesus said that God knows we have needs, and that we shouldn't worry about anything. So I stopped thinking so much about finding new people and I just starting following the Spirit, and then we found so many people. We had barely invited anyone to church, but Elder Costa was saying "El señor proveerá" (the Lord will provide), and He provided.
Today when I was sharing the First Vision, I felt something Different. It was a really great feeling that made everything change.
