WEEK 67: Lambayeque
January 13, 2020
Today was a good p-day, we went to play volleyball with the sisters in the Zone, but we didn't have a ball, so we went to this mercado (market) to buy one. Then we went back and played for about 10 minutes and then p-day was basically over. But, we had a good day. We took Lucy and Raquel to a Family Night to fortalecer (strengthen) them. Again I learned how important it is to teach simply.

Today we started out the day with our first visits falling through, and we were so sick of not finding people, so we just forgot about our plans and we started to follow the Spirit. We ended up really far away from our city, and we walked to another village where we found a really good family to teach. They understood the Gospel message really well and accepted the invitation to be baptized. Then we were walking around and found this girl named Angie. Well, we had talked with her sister before, and we were going to visit her sister, but she arrived at the house at the exact same time as us, and we taught her all of lesson one. It really connected and she understood everything. The Lord helped us create a really spiritual environment, so that when we invited her to baptism, her face lit up with joy and she said yes, confidently and with faith in Christ. When she said yes, the Spirit filled the room. We were really so grateful to find Angie, and we are really grateful that the Lord is guiding us.
Also, in el Consejo de Distrito (the District Council) we started a fast, and that also helped a lot today.

Today those we invited to church weren't able to come, but we found some really awesome people to teach, so it was still a good day.
