WEEK 21: BAGUA GRANDE
Febuary 25, 2019
Sometimes the Lord gives you freebies for real. He blesses us with success out of nowhere, and He guides us with the Holy Ghost. That is honestly the biggest testimony to me that I'm doing the right thing in being here. My actions aren't really my actions, and my decisions are actually the decisions of the Lord. We were walking down this street to an appointment, and we saw this old investigator that we had stopped teaching because he wasn't progressing. Well, he had stopped drinking and partying and now wants to come to church. Then on the same path, these ladies called us over to their house. They had the lessons from the missionaries like 15 years ago, and they remembered everything about Joseph Smith and now they want to learn more. It's just amazing how the Lord helps us in every moment.

Today was a good day, we have another baptism planned for next week. It's the mom of a family of 3, and the husband has the Melchizedek Priesthood. The mom isn't a member, and they're getting married this week. They have the cutest little 6-year old girl. We are baptizing her mom and the Lord is blessing us so much.

Today was another good day. We taught Luis and Janet and their family and they ask the most inspired questions I've ever heard. We were teaching about how Christ was baptized and we explained that he found John the Baptist because he had the authority of the Priesthood to do it. And Luis literally asked us 'And now who has that priesthood?' They have the best questions I've ever heard and they are going to get baptized. I really feel led by the Holy Ghost during our discussions. When we leave a lesson Elder Quispe and I look at each other and are amazed how the Holy Ghost told us exactly what to say, and how we can tell we are led by the Spirit of the Lord as we teach.

Today we went to Jaen for a Multi-Zone Conference. President Balderrama is so powerful. We talked about personal revelation and how it helps us teach and find answers for our investigators. It was a dang good conference. We ate pretty good too. I love President Balderrama. His wife is so funny too, and she loves me ahahaha.. She still calls me 'Elder Oof', but that's all good.
When we got back, we taught a lady with a lot of questions about the Church, and it was hard to answer some of them in Spanish. But we taught her about The Book of Mormon, and now we're hoping that she reads it and asks God if it is true. Love you all gn.
