WEEK 48: Remigio Silva
September 2, 2019
Today was a normal p-day. We cleaned our room, then played soccer for a while until this one elder kicked the ball over the fence of the church. The ball was stabbed on a fence, and then we couldn't play anymore. So we went home, slept a little and then talked to the fam.
Later we had a lesson with Elisa, who is so ready for her baptism on the 14th. We also visited Yosira, the cutest little girl, who is 9 but never got baptized. She is the cutest. I want a little daughter like that someday, that's all in the plan. It was a good day.

Today we had only one lesson all day, so we were walking around most of the day. Now we are pretty tired. But we made like 30 contacts today, which is a new record for me, and we found some really good people to teach.

While we were out today, we found your classic old guy that is part of another religion, and talked with him at his door. These type of people always say "I already know the word of God." So I like to explain about the Book of Mormon, because they have never heard about it. So this guy was talking and he said, "Yo, if the Bible mentions the Book of Mormon, you can teach me about it." So we went into his house, showed him Ezekiel 37, and he was pretty speechless for a while. Then we started telling him that he should ask God through prayer about the Book of Mormon, and not his pastor. And I don't know exactly how, but the mentality of this guy completely changed. He started asking us real soul questions, like "Is there a hell?" "Where am I going when I die?" and "Can someone who has murdered have forgiveness from God?" After that lesson this guy's world changed a little, thanks to the Holy Ghost. I thought he was going to be a closed minded Bible-basher, but feeling the influence of the Spirit changed everything.
Today we got word about changes and Elder Lopes is being transferred to another area. I am actually really sad. I love Elder Lopes like crazy and we've worked really hard here for these five weeks.
Oh yeah also, Yasira got baptized yesterday. She is the cutest little girl I've ever seen. She couldn't get baptized before because there was a lot of problems about her rights, and about who was her legal guardian.
But Elder Lopes is leaving, He is going to be a District Leader, and I am going to stay here with a new missionary. I'mma be training starting tomorrow, and yeah we gonna go to sleep.
