WEEK 54: Remigio Silva

October 14, 2019
Today was a good p-day. It was the last p-day for a lot of my really good friends who are going home. We played soccer and then we went to the mission office because we had to talk to Presidente. Elder Gomez is having a hard time. But we out here. We visited Joseph and Carlos today and they're so funny. I forgot to write a quote from Carlos after his baptism. He said "Aunque no tengo el dou del espirito Santo, me siento bendecido." (Although I don't have the gift of the Holy Ghost, I feel blessed). He's 11 years old, and so intelligent. They are so funny and they make me laugh so much. We played soccer with them for a little while and they have a dog named Princesa, and she is super annoying because she jumps up on us and gets our shirts super dirty.

We out here working, and there's nothing better.

Today was a pretty good day. Yesterday we had Intercambios and I went with Elder Garcia, who I've known from the first day I arrived, and he leaves in a week or so. But I just love the mission, and I feel like it's going way too fast sometimes. Elder Gomez killed it yesterday, he stayed in our area and he did so good.

I realized today that I was teaching a little complex, and super drawn out. The Gospel is simple, and so I'm going to work to make things more simple and effective. Jesus didn't talk with a lot of words, he explained really complex doctrines with simple parables. I'm trying to be a lot more like Jesus.

Yesterday we had an Intercambio with the Zone leaders, and I was able to go with my old companion, Elder Navarrete. It was really fun, he's so funny. We were having a bit of a hard time finding someone to teach, but we were looking really hard. I love this mission, and I'm grateful for what it is helping me become.
